About Farepa
About 1 1/2 years ago, Ray Maglalang, Theresa Dwyer, Marica Saliba, Edwin Resuello, and I got together and talked about how important it was that we put together an organization that really raises the bar in professionalism and standards. An organization that would also get more involved with the community. It was just a thought, a dream, a vision. So here we are almost 125 members and 1 ½ year later and we are on to our way to our second fiscal year.
As your incoming President for 2005, I come in to the position with great excitement and anticipation. Excitement at the thought of what this organization has done and where it is going. Anticipation of what’s to come!
This year we will focus on some community involvement projects. We want to make the step in reaching out to the community and show them that we do care and we want to know how we can best service our consumers.
Our teamwork and alliance with the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS (SCCAOR) to put together the second Housing Fair in 2005 will place us in a good position to be in front of the consumers by way of educating, informing and assisting them in their real estate needs. Last year there was over 3,500 attendants and FAREPA’s direct involvement allowed us to be strategically placed in front of the attendants and an opportunity to do business with them.
There are so many components that are vital to the success of FAREPA, all equally important and crucial to the growth of our organization. The Fundraising/Sponsorship Committee, the Education/Program and Events Committee, Government Relations Committee, Budget and Finance committee all work separately yet all come together to create the various arms of FAREPA.
I invite you to get involved with a committee that best interests you. There are so many opportunities at FAREPA for you to be a part of one of the most dynamic organizations in the industry today. Whatever your passion is, chances are we can use you and that passion to help make not only our organization better, but also to make our industry better.
Thank you for being a part of FAREPA. We look forward to serving you this year with content and value that keeps you coming back for more, month after month.
